History
The Central Florida Mechanical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (CFMJATC) was founded in 2006 and received registration from the Florida Department of Education Office of Workforce Education on March 9th, 2006. The program is jointly sponsored by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America through Carpenters Local 1820 and Walt Disney World. The program is administered by a Training Committee comprised of (8) Committee Members, (4) selected by the Carpenters Union and (4) selected by Walt Disney World Management who are responsible for selecting candidates, ensuring training opportunities, and overseeing Apprentice progression through the program. The program funds are managed by a Board of Trustees comprised of (6) Trustees, 3 selected by the Carpenters Union and 3 selected by Walt Disney World Management.

The program is registered with the Florida Department of Education Office of Career Adult and Education, Apprenticeship section.
Program Length:
4 years, after successfully completing all course work, you will be eligible to apply for Journeyman positions throughout Walt Disney World Engineering Services.
Start Date:
Classes begin in August and will continue until June.
